MexicoRAMP Carbon – Energy Efficient Commercial Buildings CDM Programme of Activities, Mexico
The PoA in Mexico will provide technology and financing solutions to organisations to encourage the take-up of energy efficient lighting and refrigeration. Based on reaching 30% of eligible buildings in Mexico, RAMP Carbon estimates an emission reduction potential of 2 million CERs per annum. The PoA will be structured as an open platform for lighting suppliers, facilities managers, refrigeration mechanics and building owners wishing to obtain carbon finance. The PoA will target energy efficient lighting and refrigeration technology retrofits in commercial, government and retail buildings.
RAMP Carbon is developing the PoA in partnership with a number of Australian organisations who are members of the Victorian Government’s Melbourne Carbon Export Cluster. Working closely with its Export Cluster partners: leading law firm Freehills, the University of Melbourne and National Australia Bank, RAMP Carbon will provide a consolidated offering of finance, technology and monitoring for participating building owners and occupiers. The PoA continues RAMP Carbon’s push to be a global leader in energy efficiency and carbon services.
